First Nations chiefs meet in Regina from Tuesday to Thursday.
Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould, herself a former AFN regional chief, is expected to speak Tuesday morning, following a speech by National Chief Perry Bellegarde.
Indigenous Affairs Minister Carolyn Bennett is also slated to make a speech and funding announcement Tuesday. Also on Tuesday: Victoria Tauli-Corpuz, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. And two other federal ministers: Ralph Goodale (Public Safety) and Catherine McKenna (Environment).
Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer is scheduled to deliver a speech on Tuesday.
As for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), two commissioners speak to the assembly on Wednesday afternoon: Michèle Audette and Brian Eyolfson.
