MPs return from a two-week break, with the budget implementation bill (C-44) expected on today’s order paper.
However, debate has yet to conclude on the privilege motion concerning access to the House of Commons on Budget Day (March 22)
Bill C-305 is considered at report stage. The private member’s bill would impose stronger Criminal Code penalties for graffiti and property damage relating to gender identity and sexual orientation. It would also place schools, daycare centres, sporting facilities, seniors residences, colleges, universities, and community centres under the mischief law, which currently only protects places of worship.
MPs vote on an NDP concurrence motion for a report from the status of women committee.
