Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a rare Friday appearance at question period to respond to yesterday’s U.S. missile strike against Syria.
Trudeau’s office also issued a written statement this morning.

Trudeau also spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump today. Here is the official Canadian readout:
Prime Minister Trudeau spoke today with President Trump concerning the situation in Syria. The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Canada fully supports the United States’ limited and focussed action to degrade the Syrian regime’s ability to conduct chemical weapons attacks. Leaders were in agreement that the repugnant chemical attacks cannot be permitted to continue with impunity. They also committed to continuing to seek a political solution to end the crisis in Syria.
