MPs return to Bill C-365, which would enforce specific penalties for the theft of firefighting equipment is debated at second reading. Conservative MP Mel Arnold said the legislation was inspired by last summer’s reports of theft and vandalism in British Columbia – amidst the province’s worst-recorded wildfire outbreak.
