Five by-elections set for April 3

Voters in five federal ridings will elect a new MP on Monday, April 3.

By-elections have been announced for:

  • Calgary Heritage, AB
  • Calgary, Midnapore, AB
  • Markham–Thornhill, ON
  • Ottawa–Vanier, ON
  • Saint-Laurent, QC

The new MPs will replace former prime minister Stephen Harper, his longtime cabinet colleague Jason Kenney, and two Liberals who left ministerial roles for diplomatic appointments: Stéphane Dion and John McCallum:
