Newfoundland and Labrador 2011 Provincial Election
CPAC's Campaign Politics host Bill Kendrick traveled to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador to talk with the party leaders and discover what voters are thinking. Newfoundland and Labrador voters may well write a new chapter in the province’s political history book on October 11. For the first time the official opposition could be the New Democratic Party under Lorraine Michael. Progressive Conservative Party leader Kathy Dunderdale become the province’s first female premiere after Danny Williams’ sudden resignation last year. If the polls are to be believed a woman opposition leader (Lorraine Michael) could face a women premiere (Kathy Dunderdale). Kevin Aylward became leader of the Liberal Party in August of this year.
