2016 Royal Tour – Vancouver
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit Vancouver on September 25, 2016, the second day of their eight-day trip to Canada. After arriving in Vancouver Harbour by seaplane, the Duke and Duchess tour the offices of Sheway, a program offering health and social services to pregnant women and mothers who are struggling with addiction. They then head to the welcome centre of the Immigrant Services Society of British Columbia, an organization that provides settlement, education, and employment services to immigrants and refugees. They are accompanied on a tour of the centre by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. Later, at Telus Garden, the Duke and Duchess, the prime minister, Mrs. Grégoire Trudeau, and Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly attend a reception for Canadian young people who are active in their communities.
