2016 Royal Tour – Whitehorse and Carcross, Yukon
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit Whitehorse and Carcross, Yukon, on September 28, 2016. First, they visit the MacBride Museum of Yukon History in Whitehorse. Since the 1950s, the museum has been a traditional stop for members of the royal family touring Canada. The Duke and Duchess then participate in a community festival showcasing young talent on Main Street in Whitehorse. Later, they visit Carcross, Yukon, where they attend a traditional welcoming ceremony performed by members of the Tagish First Nation. Finally, the Duke and Duchess attend a mountain biking demonstration at Montana Mountain, near Carcross.
