G7 Summit – Canada and Partners Pledge $3.8 Billion to Educate Girls

In Quebec City, International Development Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau announces that Canada and G7 partners are committing $3.8 billion CAD to educate girls and women in crisis and conflict situations. Canada is pledging $400 million over three years. The European Union, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the World Bank will also be contributing. (June 9, 2018)
