Stephen Leacock

Humorist, essayist, teacher and political scientist, Stephen Leacock is best known for humorous fiction. His two masterpieces are “Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town” and “Arcadian Adventures with the Idle Rich”. Renowned historian Margaret MacMillan, like Leacock was, is interested in writings featuring Canada’s colonial legacy. She has earned prestigious awards for her book “Peacemakers: The Paris Peace Conference of 1919 and Its Attempt to End War”.
