Hassan Diab Calls for Changes to Canada’s Extradition Act

Canadian professor Hassan Diab discusses his extradition with reporters in Ottawa. Diab was released January 12 from a French prison after French judges dropped terrorism charges against him. He was accused of being involved in the 1980 bombing of a synagogue in Paris and was extradited to France in 2014.

Donald Bayne, Diab’s lawyer in Canada, and Alex Neve, secretary general of Amnesty International Canada, also speak with reporters. (January 17, 2018)
