Ralph Goodale Questioned over Jaspal Atwal Affair
Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale speaks with reporters about the controversy surrounding the invitation of Jaspal Atwal to events during Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's trip to India. Atwal was convicted following the attempted murder of an Indian cabinet minister on Vancouver Island in 1986. The minister is questioned after his appearance at a parliamentary committee. Randeep Sarai, the Liberal MP who apologized and resigned from his role as chair of the party's Pacific caucus after adding Atwal to a reception guest list, also briefly speaks with reporters.
