Finance Minister Bill Morneau holds a news conference at Ryerson University in Toronto, following an announcement on paid work placements in financial services for post-secondary students.
He responds to questions about the future of the Trans Mountain expansion pipeline project, in light of Kinder Morgan’s decision to suspend the project due to continued opposition from the B.C. government. The finance minister is meeting with Alberta Premier Rachel Notley later in the day. The premier says her government plans to introduce legislation this week to give Alberta the power to reduce oil shipments to B.C. in retaliation. (April 11, 2018) (no interpretation)
