Raif Badawi’s Wife Renews Calls for Jailed Saudi Blogger’s Release

Ensaf Haidar, wife of Raif Badawi, is joined at an Ottawa news conference by Bloc Québécois Leader Martine Ouellet and former NDP leader Thomas Mulcair. Badawi was arrested in 2012 for setting up the “Free Saudi Liberals” website and allegedly insulting Islam. He was sentenced to 10 years in jail and 1,000 lashes. Badawi is not a Canadian citizen but his wife and three children live in Quebec. (April 17, 2018) (no interpretation)
