10th Anniversary of Apology to Residential School Students

An event is held on Parliament Hill to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Canada’s official apology to former students of residential schools, which was delivered in the House of Commons by then-prime minister Stephen Harper.Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett makes remarks, along with elder Claudette Commanda and residential school survivors Thomas Louttit and Evelyn Korkmaz.
