Liberal MPs Discuss Committee Report on Indigenous Women and Justice System
Liberal members of the House status of women committee hold an Ottawa news conference to discuss the committee’s report on Indigenous women in the federal justice and correctional systems. Vice-chair Pam Damoff speaks, along with Marc Serré, Emmanuella Lambropoulos, Sean Fraser, and Eva Nassif. The committee makes 96 recommendations on how the federal government can help improve Indigenous women’s access to and treatment in the justice system, as well as their treatment in the correctional system.
