Room of Remembrance Opens on Parliament Hill
On Parliament Hill, Senate Speaker George Furey and his House of Commons counterpart Geoff Regan host and make remarks at a ceremony to mark the opening of the Room of Remembrance dedicated to Canada's fallen. Veterans Affairs Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould also speaks, along with three veterans and three youth. The space in the visitor welcome centre will serve as the location of the Books of Remembrance during the rehabilitation of the Parliament building's Centre Block.
