Trudeau on Scheer’s Stance on Social Issues

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau holds a news conference at the BC Hydro Trades Training Centre in Surrey, B.C. after announcing a memorandum of understanding to power the province’s natural gas production and liquefied natural gas (LNG) sectors with clean electricity. He is jointed by y B.C. Premier John Horgan, federal Fisheries Minister Jonathan Wilkinson, and Tracy Armitage, director of learning and development for BC Hydro.

The prime minister responds to questions about Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer’s stance on same-sex marriage and abortion. He is also asked about Brazil’s reluctance to accept international aid to fight the fires sweeping through the Amazon rainforest, and whether he will attend all four scheduled leaders’ debates.
