National Anthem Bill Passes in the House – June 15, 2016
In a recorded vote, the House of Commons passes the third reading of Bill C-210, an amendment to the National Anthem Act. The bill, which calls for the adoption of gender-neutral lyrics for “O Canada,” was proposed by Mauril Bélanger, the Liberal MP for Ottawa–Vanier, Ont.
