David Lametti Faces Questions in Committee of the Whole – May 14, 2019
MPs question Justice Minister David Lametti during committee of the whole about his department's spending estimates and priorities for the coming year. The minister also faces questions about the SNC-Lavalin and Mark Norman controversies, as well as the independence of the judicial system. Each fiscal year the Official Opposition chooses two departments for an estimates review by a committee of the whole. These reviews last a maximum of four hours each and must be held by May 31. Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan is scheduled to appear the day after Lametti.
