Senators continue their study of possible strategies for reforming First Nations primary and secondary education, hearing testimony from Shawn Atleo (the national chief of the Assembly of First Nations) and Morley Googoo (a regional chief of the AFN).

Discussing the disparities between First Nations and provincial educations systems, the witnesses call for funding guarantees for First Nations education. They are questioned by committee members Gerry St. Germain (the chair of the committee), Lillian Eva Dyck (the deputy chair of the committee), Nick G. Sibbeston (Liberal), Céline Hervieux-Payette (Liberal), Larry Smith (Conservative), Ghislain Maltais (Conservative), Nancy Greene Raine (Conservative), and Salma Ataullahjan (Conservative).
