The committee continued its study on the management of grey seals off Canada’s east coast.

Dion Dakins, director of NuTan Furs Incorporated and Rob Cahill, executive director of the Fur Institute of Canada, discussed public opinion, resource management and possible industry growth.

Pierre-Yves Daoust of the University of Prince Edward Island’s Atlantic Veterinary College spoke about his experiences observing seal hunts, animal welfare and the importance of sustainable hunting practices.
