In Committee from the Senate of Canada - National Finance – January 31, 2012


The committee met for the first time since the winter break to discuss departmental spending with two new federal watchdogs. Auditor General Michael Ferguson spoke about the nature of his work, as well as his office’s upcoming projects. Mr. Ferguson was appointed to the post in November of last year. Public Sector Integrity Commissioner Mario Dion, also appointed in late 2011, discussed his department’s mandate and operations.
