Committee members continue their study of research and innovation in Canada’s agricultural sector.

Jim Brandle (the CEO of Vineland Research and Innovation) and Earl Geddes (the executive director of the Canadian International Grains Institute) discuss their respective organizations’ efforts to encourage agricultural innovation in Canada, the need for greater funding, and recent examples of success in Canadian agricultural innovation. The witnesses are questioned by committee members Percy Mockler (the chair of the committee), Fernand Robichaud (the deputy chair of the committee), Pierre Claude Nolin (Conservative), Terry Mercer (Liberal), Kelvin K. Ogilvie (Conservative), and Joanne L. Buth (Conservative).
