Senators discussed supplementary estimates (c) for the fiscal year with various senior government officials. Planned spending for 54 federal organizations is contained in these estimates.

Treasury Board officials Bill Matthews and Sally Thornton provided an overview of the supplementary estimates and how they are organized.

Human Resources and Skills Development representatives Alfred Tsang and Marc LeBrun, Major-General Robert Bertrand from National Defence, and Diane Jacovella and her colleague Sue Stimpson from the Canadian International Development Agency responded to questions about their organization's portion of the estimates.
