Representatives from Office of the Auditor General testified as part of the committee's study of additions to reserves (ATR), which refers to land that is added to existing or new reserves.

Assistant auditor general Jerome Berthelette and principal Frank Barrett discussed the chapter on treaty land entitlement obligations from their office's March 2009 status report. The Department of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development implemented a National Additions-to-Reserve Tracking System in response to the audit`s recommendation.
