Cyber security and defence expert Dave McMahon spoke to the committee about the complexity of cyberspace, and the need to manage cyber security with greater scrutiny. Rafal Rohozinski of SecDev Group discussed the growth of the Internet, and the subsequent rise in cyber crime. He also offered a few suggestions that could improve online security. Jim Robbins of EWA-Canada spoke about the Canada's declining capability to advise significant sectors of the most effective tools in ensuring online security. All of the witnesses were appearing as individuals.
