Representatives from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) discussed the status of, and lessons learned, during Canadian Forces operations in Afghanistan. Bob Johnston spoke about the role of his organization, and the difference between Canada's involvement in Afghanistan compared to that of other countries. He also outlined what has been done by CIDA since 2001, and what will be done by Canada's scheduled withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014. His colleague Dave Metcalfe also testified.
