Senators resumed their study of Bill S-8, an act respecting the safety of drinking water on First Nation lands. Kevin McKay, chairperson from the Nisga'a Lisims Government, addressed the many objections and concerns his people have in regards to Bill S-8. His legal advisor Jim Aldridge elaborated on the issues raised. Clayton Leonard, counsel to First Nations in Alberta, spoke mostly in favour of the bill, but did outline some concerns.
