Senators continued with their study of the budget bill, with a focus on the proposed changes to the Old Age Security system.

Jason Clemens from the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, Susan Eng from the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP), and Jim Stanford from the Canadian Auto Workers’ union spoke about their concerns with these measures in Bill C-38.

UPDATE: Bill C-38 received royal assent on June 29.
