Representatives from various First Nations and Aboriginal groups discussed an amendment to the First Nations Land Management Act that is included in the budget bill.

Chief Robert Louie and Stephen Aronson from the Lands Advisory Board, Chief Austin Bear from the Lands Advisory Board Resource Centre, and Dwight Dorey from the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples appeared before the committee to speak about the implications of the provision in Bill C-38.

UPDATE: Bill C-38 received royal assent on June 29.
