Industry Minister Christian Paradis and Canadian Heritage Minister James Moore discussed Bill C-11, the government's copyright legislation.

The ministers elaborated on the importance of the bill and responded to questions from senators. Topics of discussion included artist royalties and the use of educational resources in the classroom.

Industry Canada officials Anne-Marie Monteith and Paul Halucha, as well as Lara Taylor from Canadian Heritage, answered questions on technical aspects of the bill.

UPDATE: Bill C-11 received royal assent on June 29.
