Representatives of major music labels and the publishing industry were among the witnesses who appeared at this meeting that examined the copyright legislation (Bill C-11). Lee Webster (Canadian Chamber of Commerce), Graham Henderson (Music Canada), Karna Gupta and Ken Englehart (Information Technology Association of Canada), John Degen (Ontario Arts Council), and Wanda Noel (Council of Ministers of Education, Canada) offered their perspectives during the first two sessions. The session finished with testimony from Harry Page (UBM TechInsights), Bill Harnum (Association of Canadian Publishers), Allan Reynolds (Canadian Publishers' Council), and Deb DeBruijn (Canadian Research Knowledge Network). UPDATE: Bill C-11 received royal assent on June 29.
