Minister of State for Finance Ted Menzies and Industry Minister Christian Paradis provide an overview of certain measures in the budget bill. The ministers discuss sections of Bill C-45 that include allowing certain public sector investment pools to directly invest in financial institutions and changes to the Agreement on Internal Trade Implementation Act. Senior officials from the respective departments also respond to questions from senators.

UPDATE: Bill C-45 received royal assent on December 14.
