Senior officials from various government departments brief senators on certain measures of the budget implementation bill (C-45).

Witnesses from Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, Health Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, Finance Canada, Citizenship and Immigration discuss changes including those to the Employment Insurance Act, the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Act.

UPDATE: Bill C-45 received royal assent on December 14.
