Senators examine Bill S-202, an act which would establish and maintain a national registry of medical devices.

MEDEC vice-president Klaus-Gerhard Stitz discusses the current registry and how Bill S-202 can complicate the issue. Sholom Glouberman of the Patients' Association of Canada outlines his support and provides recommendations he feels will improve the bill. Committee members then conduct their clause-by-clause consideration of the legislation.
