Senators conduct their clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-309, the Conservative private member's bill that seeks to make it an offence to wear a mask or disguise in a riot or unlawful assembly.

Conservative MP David Wilks then presents his bill on child kidnapping by a stranger. Bill C-299 calls for a mandatory minimum sentence of five years for anyone convicted of this crime.
