In Committee from the Senate of Canada - Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources - February 6, 2014

Senators discuss Bill C-15,the Nothwest Territories Devolution Act. The bill will transfer the decision-making and administration of land and resource management from the federal government to the Northwest Territories.

Christine Wenman, manager of policy and planning for Ecology North, and Dawn Tremblay, the organization's office manager, oppose some of the changes proposed for the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act and are calling for the bill to be dealt with separately from the devolution legislation.
