In Committee from the Senate of Canada - Social Affairs, Science and Technology - November 21, 2013

The committee discusses proposed changes to the Canada Labour Code that are found in the latest budget implementation bill (C-4).

Walter Manning from Unifor and John Farrell and John Beckett, who are both representing the organization Federally Regulated Employers - Transportation and Communication (FETCO), express their organizations' concerns about the changes.

Division 5 of Part 3 amends the definition of "danger", modifies the refusal to work process and removes all references to health and safety officers. (November 21, 2013)

UPDATE: Bill C-4 received royal assent on December 12.
