In Committee from the Senate of Canada - National Defence - December 9, 2013 - Part 1


Representatives from National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces testify as part of the committee's follow-up to its report on sovereignty and security in Canada’s Arctic. Released in March 2011, the report made six recommendations that Canada could take to improve its presence in the Far North.

Major-General Christopher Coates, Brigadier-General K.L. Woiden and Colonel Michel Lalumière discuss the Canadian Armed Forces' role and operations in the Arctic with regards to sovereignty and security. (December 9, 2013)
