Senators hear from two panels at they continue their study on the importance of bees and bee health in the production of honey, food and seed in Canada. Ernesto Guzman from the University of Guelph, Rob Currie with the University of Manitoba and Pascal Dubreuil from the University of Montreal discuss the multiple factors that are responsible for the unprecedented number of bee mortalities and what action is needed to help bee keepers and growers. Barry Denluck representing the B.C. Bee Breeders Association and Medhat Nasr with the Canadian Association of Professional Apiculturists then speak about their organizations' ongoing work to help improve the health of bees in Canada.
