Senators continue their study of study Bill C-9, an Act respecting the election of chiefs and councillors of certain First Nations. Appearing at the committee are John G. Paul, executive director of the Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs Secretariat, and Ronald Evans, chief of the Norway House Cree Nations, who discuss their reasons for supporting the bill and their work with the Department of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada in constructing Bill C-9.
