The senators continue their study on challenges relating to First Nations infrastructure on reserves. Whitefish River First Nation Chief Shining Turtle recommends that the current AANDC social housing program must change to clearly indentify every social housing unit as belonging to the First Nation occupants and not be perceived as a government house. Curve Lake First Nation's capital projects coordinator Tammy Juszczynski Banks explains that Curve Lake First Nation is underfunded and infrastructure needs are not being met due to the funding level. The last witness is Chris Maracle, appearing as an individual, suggests that the treaty right to shelter be addressed. (April 2, 2014)
