Grahame Johnson and Lukasz Pomorski, senior officials from the Bank of Canada’s Funds Management and Banking department, testify as part of the committee’s study on the use of digital currency. The witnesses discuss the difference between e-payments (using legal tender by accessing it remotely) and e-money, the Bank of Canada’s role in studying virtual currency, as well as many technical aspects regarding digital currencies.
