In Committee from the Senate of Canada - National Finance - April 29, 2014 - Part 2


The committee begins its pre-study of the budget implementation bill. Five other Senate committees have been separately authorized to examine the subject-matter of particular elements. The Finance committee has the ultimate responsibility of studying the entire bill. Senior Finance officials Ted Cook, Miodrag Jovanovic, Brian Ernewein and Kevin Shoom provide details on provisions including changes related to adoption and medical expenses and the introduction of the search and rescue volunteers tax credit. (April 29, 2014) UPDATE: Bill C-31 received royal assent on June 19.
