In Committee from the Senate of Canada - Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources - May 1, 2014

The senators continue their study on non-renewable and renewable energy development. Officials from Environment Canada, Mark Cauchi, Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, Sandra LaFortune and Matthew Spence, and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, Susan Harper, discuss issues regarding energy storage, distribution, transmission, consumption and other emerging technologies in Canada's three northern territories.
The committee also hears from Jim Fox and Shelley Milutinovic, from the National Energy Board, speaking on their department's role in the north and gives an overview of northern energy resources. (May 1, 2014)
