Laura Eggertson and Patricia Paul-Carson from the Adoption Council of Canada discuss child adoption and the measure that will increase the maximum amount of eligible expenses for the adoption expense tax credit. Kathleen O’Brien of the Ontario Search and Rescue Volunteer Association comments on the introduction of the search and rescue volunteers tax credit. Tom King from the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada speaks about the amendment to the Customs Tariff related to mobile offshore drilling units used in oil and gas exploration and development that are imported on or after May 5, 2014. (May 1, 2014) UPDATE: Bill C-31 received royal assent on June 19.
