The committee held a total of eight meetings for its pre-study of Bill C-23. Committee members heard from 27 witnesses, including Pierre Poilievre, the minister of state for democratic reform, Marc Mayrand, Canada’s chief electoral officer, and Sheila Fraser, former auditor general.
