During the first panel, through testimony from Derek Colfer (head of technology and innovation) from the Visa Canada Corporation and Sherri Haymond (senior vice president, digital channel engagement, emerging payments) and Jason Davies (head of emerging payments, Canada) from MasterCard, Senators resume their study of the use of digital currency.

The second part of the meeting sees the committee continuing its hearings on Liberal Senator Pierrette Ringuette’s bill (S-202) to place limits on credit card acceptance fees that are charged to merchants when a credit card is used by a customer. Don Lebeuf, the head of customer delivery in Canada for MasterCard along with the Visa Canada Corporation's president, Robert Livingston and his colleague, Brian Weiner testify.
