In Committee from the Senate of Canada
Official Languages - November 3, 2014
Groups representing several francophone communities appear as part of the committee's review of Bill S-205. Liberal Senator Maria Chaput's private member's bill will update Part IV of the Official Languages Act, which covers federal institutions' obligation to provide services in both official languages. Senators hear from the following witnesses: Marie-France Kenny (Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada), Martin Théberge (Fédération culturelle canadienne-française), Daniel Boucher (Société franco-manitobaine), and James Shea and Stephen D. Thompson (both representing the Quebec Community Groups Network). (November 3, 2014)
